About The Role The Vehicle Sales Manager will be responsible for oversight of all new and used car sales – including brand and non-brand vehicles - along with managing the new/used vehicle purchase experience. This position requires an enthusiastic, adaptable individual who is experienced with leading and motivating teams, and dedicated to creating lasting, positive, and memorable customer interactions throughout the complete sales and delivery process. Additionally, a comprehensive grasp of used vehicle operations and developed business acumen are essential for success in this role. Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply!

What You Will Do – Essential Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of new and used car strategy and operations

Strong leadership abilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team, set clear expectations, and provide constructive feedback

Ensure team masters product features and are product experts; have strong grasp of vehicle technology

Manage sales cycle from prospect to delivery, tracking all client and sales activity

Manage vehicle trade-in processes – including non-brand vehicles

Implement inventory management systems & processes

Drive operational excellence by developing and monitoring clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as sales volume, revenue, customer satisfaction, and healthy inventory turn to identify trends and areas for improvement; provide regular feedback to ensure individual and team success

Driven to achieve targets and understands link between sales and customer experience

Serve as primary point of contact to manage escalations, address customer concerns, compliance matters, and resolve any priorities related to new car/used car operations

Work collaboratively with key stakeholders: Store team, Product Brand team, MAMCO Executive team, and Policy Departments to ensure unparalleled customer experience

Exceptional communication skills in diverse forums

Key Qualifications & Requirements

3-5+ years of related professional experience in new car and used vehicle sales

Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred

Proven record of effectively leading and inspiring sales team to attain sales goals while delivering exceptional customer service

Demonstrated leadership across multiple vehicle brands; experience within retail, luxury or hospitality is strongly preferred

Customer-centric mindset and deep passion to create ongoing memorable consumer experiences

Highly collaborative and team-oriented

Self-driven initiative; hardworking; willing to go above and beyond in rapidly changing & ambiguous environment

Strong desire to execute and identify new ways to push the business forward

Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills; polished appearance

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to relentlessly prioritize

Manage and overcome customer feedback in a cordial and calm manner

Act with urgency and champions excellence in all company objectives

Flexible - available to work weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays as needed

Proficient in business productivity tools and software (MS Office suite, CRM tools, and retail business systems)

Maintain valid/active United States-issued driver’s license

Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States
