What You’ll Do We’re a high-performing, collaborative team that thrives on turning strategy into results. You’ll collaborate with your team to strategize, grow and manage your book of business, build lasting client partnerships, and prospect new opportunities—whether in the office or out in the field.
You’ll drive revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities and partner with existing clients to optimize their digital advertising strategies and amplify Cox Media’s solutions.
Cultivate new business opportunities while deepening relationships with existing clients through proactive outreach and upselling to drive incremental revenue.
Sell a mix of customized advertising solutions across Cox Media’s multichannel portfolio (TV, digital video, streaming, display, social media, paid search).
Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting to support strategic planning and revenue growth.
Educate clients on data-driven strategies to elevate brand impact and measurable outcomes.
Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients in leveraging digital and cross‑platform campaigns to build brand awareness, generate qualified leads, and achieve business goals.
Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals that showcase the value of Cox Media’s advertising solutions.
Develop and build an expansive book of business through strategic prospecting (including cold calling and lead generation) and consultative account management.
Collaborate with internal teams (creative, research, digital) to deliver seamless campaign execution, optimize performance, and ensure client satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client communications in CRM systems.
Represent Cox Media with energy and excellence—whether in the office or in the field.
Stay informed on industry trends and local market conditions to generate leads.
What You Bring Skills and Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
6 years of experience in a related field in lieu of a degree. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience or a master’s degree with up to 2 years of experience.
Proven success in sales/business development: identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and exceeding sales goals.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals and foster long-term partnerships.
Ability to use data in the development and sale of a media strategy.
Skilled at presenting complex solutions in a simple, easy-to-understand manner.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high levels of client relationships and business excellence.
A valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
Expert in prospecting new business and nurturing client relationships through consultative selling and deep digital marketing expertise.
Demonstrated success in developing strategic advertising solutions informed by the evolving digital and media landscape.
Proven experience selling multi-platform digital advertising and media solutions, with the ability to adopt new technologies in a fast-changing environment.
Industry certifications and/or Google Ads certification.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering business excellence.
Comfort with hybrid work (3 in-office collaboration days per week).
