Berco of America, Inc. is looking for a driven and strategic
Key Account Manager (KAM)
to lead and grow relationships with major OEM customers. In this role, you will shape commercial strategy, drive profitable growth, and partner closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams to deliver exceptional value. What You’ll Do
Strategic Account Leadership
Develop and execute customer-specific sales and account strategies
Translate commercial goals into actionable go-to-market plans
Drive lifecycle account management, pricing discipline, and margin optimization
Sales Execution & Pipeline Management
Manage sales forecasts, pipeline activities, and opportunity conversion using CRM tools
Lead OEM nomination processes from RFQ through SOP
Identify business expansion opportunities and margin-improvement initiatives within key accounts
Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as the primary interface for OEM commercial relationships
Lead contract discussions, pricing reviews, and commercial negotiations
Coordinate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to address customer needs and resolve issues
Support crisis management related to commercial, delivery, or cost challenges
Essential Functions
Develop and present account plans, commercial proposals, and pricing analyses
Conduct commercial evaluations and lead negotiation processes
Analyze financial and cost data to support business decisions
Travel regularly to customer sites and Berco locations
Your profile Minimum Required Qualifications
Education & Credentials
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
Master’s degree preferred
3 - 5 years of sales or key account management experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
3 - 5 years of experience working directly with OEM customers, including nomination processes
Skills & Competencies
Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and analytical capabilities
Fluent in English; Spanish, German, or Portuguaese is a plus
High integrity, strong communication abilities, and a collaborative, results-oriented mindset
Physical Demands & Work Environment This role typically requires extended periods of sitting and computer use. Light lifting (up to 20 lbs.), reaching, carrying, or standing may be necessary at times. Reasonable accommodations will be provided where needed to support individuals with disabilities.
