
Job Description
Launch your career in the utility industry with a hands-on design role supporting power distribution projects that keep communities running. This position focuses on drafting and light design work for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems serving residential, commercial, and industrial sites. You'll work closely with field teams to update drawings using proprietary CAD tools while learning utility design from the ground up in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.
What you'll be doing Draft and update power distribution drawings using field-collected data
Prepare job packages including material lists, labor estimates, and construction drawings
Apply utility standards, codes, and safety practices to real-world projects
Support safe, cost-effective, and reliable electrical distribution designs
Collaborate with engineers, construction teams, and clients to meet project timelines What they're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred; Mechanical or related considered)
Strong interest in building a long-term career in the utility industry
Detail-oriented, fast, and accurate with a strong "can-do" attitude Details
Pay:
Up to $26.00/hr
Location:
Cincinnati, OH (on-site to start)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (some flex time)
