Job Overview:
The Account Executive is a field-based sales role responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and building long-term customer relationships within the Scranton, PA market. This role reports directly to the District Sales Manager and plays a key role in achieving company sales and profitability goals.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities with independent and chain accounts within the assigned territory
Achieve or exceed sales targets and performance metrics
Develop and execute sales strategies based on market trends and customer needs
Analyze customer accounts to identify growth opportunities and optimize product offerings
Build and maintain strong customer relationships while delivering high-quality service
Communicate market insights, customer feedback, and opportunities to internal teams
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts
Participate in industry events, trade shows, and local marketing initiatives
Support company marketing plans and sales promotions
Assist with training or mentoring new sales team members as needed
Qualifications
Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals
Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; CRM experience preferred
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (up to 100%)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Experience in B2B, foodservice, wholesale, or distribution sales
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Frequent walking, standing, and bending
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required
