Sr. Sales Support Specialist- Erlanger, KY MAIN FUNCTION:
Sr Sales Support Specialists play a vital role within the sales team, reporting to the Director of Sales Analytics. This mid-level position is accountable for providing best-in-class customer service to accounts and supporting the sales organization through training, analytics, and process support. The role ensures the sales team functions effectively and meets the company’s and customers' objectives, helping the team focus on selling and contributing to revenue goals. It involves building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining processes for key sales functions, project management, account development, budgeting, and phase-in support. The subject matter expert will provide support to all Flavor locations as needed. Coordinate within the global organization to meet customer expectations. Utilize systems and databases to support sales and the broader business (LEAD, BI, Salesforce, etc.) Participate in regular business reviews with account managers Provide coverage for the team when traveling or out of the office Coordinate and assist with sales-related activities cross-functionally Engage in customer-facing meetings and events, as needed Provide support and dashboarding for phase-in entry and business case reviews Collect, analyze, and distill data into actionable reports and dashboards Assist with onboarding and training of account managers Support the sales team and leadership in executing the budgeting process Assist with sales manager inquiries into territory performance Assist with publishing monthly performance data Support the RFI or RFP review process Understand processes that take a formula from development, through pricing, and upload to the system Maintain understanding of manufacturing capabilities and supply chain processes Actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement and facilitate change Work proactively to avoid challenges Approach changing, challenging situations with a focus on customer satisfaction and ADM’s best interest Develop a clear understanding and working knowledge of ADM products and services Understand and adhere to corporate compliance policies & safety systems Ensure individual goals are aligned with company goals Foster positive, cooperative relationships with internal colleagues across divisions Effectively use communication channels for proper coordination within the office and other locations Portray a positive image of the company and self when interacting with stakeholders Perform other duties as required REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of a 2-year college degree (Associate's Degree) in business management, project management, or related field, plus 4–7 years’ experience in sales or project management. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Understanding of sales performance metrics Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers Clear speaking, reading, and writing skills; effective communication in person, by telephone, and in writing Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) with basic mathematics skills Working knowledge of a CRM system such as Salesforce Demonstrated negotiation and interpersonal skills Proven ability to assess business and financial risk and exercise sound judgment Commitment to corporate ethics policies & safety programs Position requires sitting for prolonged periods, heavy phone use, and standing, bending, kneeling, and keyboard use Ability to travel as needed within North America Excited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
