Senior Phlebotomist

is responsible for clinical laboratory duties, including: All Sites: reception and telephone duties; proficient operation of laboratory equipment including HIS/LIS systems; specimen handling: receiving and processing; prep and shipping of lab specimens for reference laboratories; specimen/patient registration; phlebotomy - collection of blood samples by venipuncture or capillary stick; therapeutic blood collection; swab collection of specific microbiology samples (per competency); assignment to OP Lab locations; training new staff as assigned. Required Qualifications

Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification 2 years experience in a clinical lab setting Experience with 7 of the basic skills described in the essential functions of the job description

Preferred Qualifications

Coursework/Training: Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy training program/course approved by WA State

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate\'s placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
