
Regional Sales Manager - Malaysia & Singapore

What You’ll Do
Partner closely with the
Director of Sales and Account Executive
to achieve and exceed regional sales targets.
Own and deliver against an
annual new-business sales quota
for EBSCO Information Services products.
Proactively identify and qualify customer needs, prepare quotes and pricing, and coordinate product trials when appropriate.
Build strong relationships through
regular face-to-face engagement —averaging at least
40 in-person customer or prospect visits per month .
Develop and execute a
territory and sales strategy
to grow pipeline and close opportunities.
Become a
subject-matter expert
in EBSCO products and the competitive landscape.
Gather and share market insights to support
product development and marketing initiatives .
Travel approximately
50% of the time , including conferences, customer visits, and sales meetings.
Maintain accurate administration and reporting, including a dedicated
office day each Friday .
About You
Fluent in spoken and written English; Bahasa Malaysia proficiency preferred.
At least 4 years of B2B field sales experience, ideally selling to government, education, or corporate organizations.
Comfortable with frequent regional travel and managing a remote schedule.
Strong communicator with proven relationship-building, follow-up, and closing skills.
Highly self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
Currently living within the territory (Malaysia or Singapore).
Valid driver’s license and a solid driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (library science or a related field is a plus).
Experience selling software, digital content, or research solutions.
Background in the library, education, or research industry.
Familiarity with CRM platforms, including pipeline management and forecasting aligned to fiscal-year target.
Experience working remotely and using online meeting and collaboration tools.
Confidence with cold calling and proactive prospecting.
