Residential Leasing Agent
This position is primarily sales-driven, with a strong focus on customer service, achieving goals, and delivering results. As a Leasing Agent, you’ll be the first point of contact for prospective residents, playing a key role in shaping their experience with our community. You’ll build relationships, understand their needs, and guide them through the leasing process to help them find their perfect home. This role offers the opportunity to showcase our properties, provide exceptional service, and contribute directly to the success and growth of our communities. Primary Responsibilities
Become an expert on Placemaker property communities, embodying our brand and values. Leverage social media and digital platforms to stay current on market trends, competition, and engage with both current and future residents. Build strong relationships with prospective residents by understanding their needs and guiding them to their ideal home. Present and promote the lifestyle and community features of our apartment homes to prospective residents. Maintain fairness and consistency by adhering to all Fair Housing regulations and company processes. Collaborate with Leasing Consultants, Property Managers, and Maintenance teams to achieve individual and company-wide goals. Address and resolve resident concerns, providing top-tier customer service to ensure satisfaction and community harmony. Become proficient in company systems and tools to track, monitor, and measure key metrics, ensuring accuracy in vacancy reporting and resident management. Communicate effectively with prospects and residents through email, phone, and web-based platforms to maintain clear and consistent communication. Manage detailed file responsibilities, including preparing leases and renewals, maintaining accurate resident files, and ensuring all documentation is up to date. Assist with additional duties, such as unit make-ready activities and maintaining the cleanliness of community spaces. Experience and Required Skills
Prior experience in leasing, sales, or hospitality is required. High School diploma required; College degree or some college coursework is desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven experience working with people from diverse backgrounds with an emphasis on providing a personal experience and a high level of customer service required. Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills + technical aptitude. Experience with Yardi and other Leasing tools is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all residents and coworkers while working in a team environment. Must comply with laws/policies regarding Federal, State and Municipal Fair Housing Laws, The Nebraska Tenant Landlord Act, and the Federal and State Safety Regulations. Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to safely operate a vehicle. About Placemaker Properties
