
Overview
Lockton’s expanding tax department is seeking a senior level tax analyst to fill a dynamic role that will provide the candidate with significant opportunities for growth. This associate is expected to play an integral role in Lockton’s domestic compliance process and will be expected to assist our tax operations and tax planning teams with strategic data management and analysis, with an emphasis on Lockton’s domestic operations. Our senior analyst will also be relied upon to help us assess and identify opportunities to improve and optimize our tax functions from process, data, and technology perspectives. Consistent with our belief in training and development, this role will offer a candidate the opportunity to expand their technical tax skills in a complex tax environment and enhance their utilization of tax-based technology. Responsibilities
Prepare tax work papers to support the annual income tax filings for federal income tax purposes for all Lockton US entities such as Forms 1120-S and 1065.
Facilitate data collection process with Lockton’s accounting and finance teams for quarterly and annual taxable income calculations and identify and implement process improvements.
Review income tax return filings prepared by Lockton’s outside tax advisory firm.
Manage monthly tax calendar and all other miscellaneous tax filings.
Assist in managing communication and delivery of K-1s to Lockton entity partners.
Manage the use tax return process with outside tax return preparation providers.
Research relevant tax issues, present findings to team.
Assist with projects related to management and operational financial statement reporting.
Respond to federal, state and local tax audits and inquiries related to tax filings
Preparation and filing of tax election forms.
Work on special projects and other duties as assigned, including projects based on the utilization of tax-based technology.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or similar related field. Master’s degree or professional degree in related field preferred
2 to 4 years of related work experience in taxation, emphasis on flow-through structures preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including MS Excel and Co-Pilot.
Demonstrate ability and willingness to learn and innovate through tools such MS Co-Pilot (or equivalent engine), Alteryx, MS Power BI, MS Power Pivot, and MS Power Query
Strong skills in the following key areas:

Effective oral and written communication with tax and non-tax professionals
