The Business Development Specialist is a field-based role focused on creating new business relationships and driving growth for our residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services. This position requires proactive outreach to strategic partners such as employers, HOAs, realtors, lenders, inspectors, utilities, and community organizations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives on networking, building trust, and representing our brand in the community. Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Outreach
Identify and engage potential partners (employers, HOAs, realtors, lenders, inspectors, utilities, community groups). Conduct in-person visits, attend networking events, and participate in community activities to promote services.
Relationship Development
Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers. Develop referral programs and partnership agreements to generate leads.
Market Expansion
Research local market trends and identify new growth opportunities. Represent the company at trade shows, community fairs, and industry events.
Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with marketing and operations teams to align outreach efforts. Maintain accurate records of contacts, meetings, and pipeline in CRM. Provide weekly reports on activities, leads generated, and conversion progress.
Qualifications
What You Bring to the Table
Proven Experience:
2+ years of success in business development, field marketing, or sales (experience in residential services or B2C is highly preferred). Elite Communication:
You are a "people person" who can navigate various social dynamics and build trust with diverse groups of people. Self-Starting Grit:
You don't need a manager looking over your shoulder to stay motivated; you are driven by targets and the "thrill of the hunt." Technical Proficiency:
You are comfortable using CRM tools (Salesforce, Service Titan, etc.) and Microsoft Office to manage your workflow. Mobility:
A valid driver's license and the ability to travel daily in a company vehicle throughout your assigned territory is required.
