Optimum Sports Optimum Sports is the dedicated sports marketing agency within OMG. Unlike traditional sports marketing agencies, Optimum Sports operates in both the Sports Sponsorship and Sports Media landscapes. With the combination of both disciplines under a single offering, Optimum Sports is able to provide its clients with unique and advantageous marketplace leverage through which it delivers cohesive, multi-platform sports marketing strategies. Ingrained with the latest research and ROI tools, Optimum Sports facilitates everything from Ideation to Execution to Actualization.

OS Role Overview The OS account services team is responsible for both providing internal strategic support and managing external communication. Internally throughout OMG, OS should be viewed as the singular resource for all things sports. OS provides OMG strategy teams with real time marketplace insights to inform communications planning. OS also leads in the development and implementation of sports-focused sponsorship and media strategies designed for clients to create customized multi-platform programs. Externally, OS manages relationships across the sports media and property marketplaces with the ultimate goal of maximizing partnership value.

Role Responsibilities Program Development

Sports idea generation within agency team while managing client facing sell through

Construct multi-media marketing programs or ideas using expertise, marketplace intel, and creative thinking

Work with vendors to develop custom extensions or alter existing elements to fit within overall program

Determine optimal asset mix + branding elements within sponsorship proposals while developing media framework

Employ strategies and tactics to drive awareness and fan engagement in support of multi-platform programs

Program Execution

Implementation, tracking, and valuation of cross-channel media and partnership activation

Create optimal media asset management process including timeline tracking and internal/external approvals

Analyze campaign performance against benchmarks and optimize to ensure program surpasses expectations

Construct and present impactful program recaps designed to optimize future strategy and tactics

Media Planning

Support OMG Strategy teams with tactical insights across all sports media channels with expertise in digital

Work with agency partners to develop holistic sports platform planning that ties into overall brand strategy

Provide overviews and trends of current broadcast rights and consumption across properties

Act as direct liaison between OMD strategy and dedicated OS investment team

Sports Landscape Consultation

Create overall sports landscape analysis with focus on media and property outlook

Analyze and understand the targets’ consumption behaviors by sports or property across channels

Maintain in-depth understanding of emerging media and evaluate strategic integration opportunities

Understand the evolving sponsorship models for teams, leagues, and media entities

Provide timely media and sports marketplace information regarding both sponsorship and pricing trends

Requirements

Passion for sports is a must; experience working within sports preferred

3-4 years in the media industry and experience with multiple media; investment or digital experience preferred

Extremely strong communicator, both written and verbal – in person and on conference calls

Creative thinker who has the ability to develop unique ideas, solutions, and programs

Highly organized, with the ability to manage and prioritize many simultaneous deliverables

Strong background in client services and account management

Compensation and Benefits This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.

Compensation Range $50,000—$95,000 USD

This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
