Position Summary The
Business Development Specialist
is a sales role focused on outbound prospecting and appointment setting for the sales team. This position is
not a closing role . Instead, the Business Development Specialist will be responsible for researching, contacting, and qualifying prospects via phone and email, and scheduling
qualified appointments
for sales representatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Making calls to businesses
Research and identify potential business clients using prospecting tools and CRM platforms
Conduct outbound business-to-business calls and email outreach
Qualify prospects based on established appointment criteria
Schedule qualified meetings for the sales team
Maintain accurate and organized records within the CRM system
Manage and develop a prospect pipeline to support consistent appointment generation
Collaborate with sales leadership and team members to refine outreach strategies
Meet or exceed defined activity and performance metrics
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in business-to-business calling or sales outreach preferred
Entry-level candidates interested in starting a sales career are encouraged to apply
Experience working with CRM systems and pipeline management preferred
Familiarity with sales intelligence or prospecting tools (such as ZoomInfo or similar platforms) strongly preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment
Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team
Professional, dependable demeanor with strong organizational skills
