Digital Media Specialist (Part-Time → Full-Time) • Mapp for Congress (NJ-12) • Location: New Jersey (Hybrid; some in-person required) • Reports to: Communications Director • Status: Part-Time initially, with strong potential to convert to Full-Time About the Campaign

Mapp for Congress is a people-centered, issues-driven campaign working to elect Mayor Adrian O. Mapp to represent New Jersey’s 12th Congressional District. We are building a disciplined, professional operation focused on persuasion, turnout, and coalition-building across a diverse district. Position Overview

The Digital Media Specialist will play a central role in shaping and executing the campaign’s digital presence across platforms. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented digital professional who understands political storytelling, rapid-response dynamics, and the importance of message discipline and compliance. The position will begin part-time, with a clear pathway to full-time as the campaign scales. Core Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day content creation and publishing across social platforms (X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and others as assigned) Draft, edit, and schedule original content including graphics, short-form video, captions, and rapid-response posts Support digital storytelling around the candidate, campaign priorities, earned media, endorsements, and events Assist with digital rapid response during breaking news moments, debates, and key campaign milestones Coordinate with Communications Director and senior leadership to ensure message alignment and brand consistency Monitor engagement, trends, and performance metrics; provide regular insights and recommendations Support email, SMS, and fundraising digital content as needed (in coordination with finance and compliance teams) Assist with basic website updates and digital asset management Ensure all digital content complies with campaign, FEC, and platform-specific rules and disclaimers Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in political campaigns, advocacy organizations, or mission-driven digital communications Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms and audiences Working knowledge of major social media platforms and scheduling tools Basic graphic or video editing skills (Canva, Adobe, CapCut, etc.) preferred Ability to work quickly, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong political instincts and sound judgment Familiarity with New Jersey politics or congressional campaigns is a plus Commitment to equity, inclusion, and respectful engagement Expectations & Work Environment

Part-time role to start (hours will scale during peak moments); potential conversion to full-time based on performance and campaign needs. Some evening and weekend availability required. Must be eligible for W-2 employment and authorized to work in the U.S. In-state presence required for certain events and coordination. Compensation
