Marketing & Community Relations Coordinator (32 hours/week) The Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Marketing & Community Relations Coordinator

to support our marketing, communications, and community engagement efforts. This role plays a key part in increasing the Chamber’s visibility, strengthening relationships across the business and civic community, and supporting Chamber events and initiatives. The position reports to the Executive Director and works across multiple platforms and projects. Key Responsibilities Include: Representing the Chamber at community, chamber, and city events Supporting outreach with local businesses, community leaders, and city officials Assisting with public relations efforts, press releases, and media opportunities Creating graphics and marketing materials for events, newsletters, and social media Managing and growing social media across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn Updating the Chamber website and supporting the annual Guide to Mountain Brook Assisting with event logistics, sponsorship outreach, and on-site event support Providing general administrative support and assisting with board materials Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or related field preferred 1–3 years of experience in a related role Strong writing, organization, and communication skills Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and social platforms Creative, proactive, and interested in community engagement Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Position Details: This is a full-time, 32-hour per week position based in Mountain Brook, Alabama. Some evening and weekend hours are required for events. This position is benefits eligible.
