Overview
The Product Designer 4 role focuses on research, design, and development of innovative products from initial concept through retail execution. This position supports seasonal basketball uniform and travel system projects, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver performance-driven apparel solutions that align with brand, consumer, and business objectives. This is an onsite role at Nike World Headquarters, supporting seasonal workload demands with potential for extension based on business needs. Job Description
Product Ideation & Concept Development
Generate innovative product concepts that create competitive advantages in performance-based apparel. Develop design ideas aligned with product vision and brand direction. Translate insights into tangible product concepts using advanced design methodologies. Research, Engineering & Prototyping
Define testing protocols and establish validation processes for product concepts. Develop proof-of-concept prototypes using new materials, technologies, and construction processes. Identify key elements of product construction, materials, and manufacturing processes. Project Management
Lead and support innovation projects from ideation through production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product creation, manufacturing, and external vendors. Manage timelines, budgets, and technical requirements to ensure successful execution. Communication & Collaboration
Draft reports and present design concepts and results to functional departments. Clearly communicate best practices and technical knowledge to support transition of technology into production. Work closely with a direct team of 4–5 members in a collaborative environment. Required Skills
Adobe Illustrator (expert level) Keynote Photoshop Product design experience (minimum 2–4 years) Strong collaboration and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment Confidentiality and discretion Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
CLO experience Prior Nike experience Strong understanding of material creation and apparel construction Budget management awareness Ability to adapt quickly and manage changing priorities Education Requirements
