Avail Media is a full-service media agency providing planning, buying and promotional services for both traditional and digital media. In addition to servicing advertisers directly, Avail Media also provides media services for creative agencies, marketing consultants and public relations firms. Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Media Planner/Buyer to join our fast-paced agency. The candidate must be organized, detail and math oriented, computer savvy, and a team player. This is a hybrid position with at least 2 days a week in the office (Houston). Number of days in-office can change. Must be Houston based. Job Responsibilities: Research, plan, negotiate and buy across both traditional and digital media. Lead campaigns from start to finish: Defining objectives, execution, tracking and reporting. Negotiate with media vendors to maximize value for clients. Monitor day-to-day activity and make necessary changes based on client goals. Prepare media flowcharts, pacing reports, and client-ready presentations. Deliver exceptional client service, with ability to be the liaison to clients for specific accounts. Managing multiple clients and campaigns at one time. Observe and evaluate trends of media across campaigns and provide optimizations accordingly. Required Experience: At least two years of media experience in an agency or in-house setting for both traditional and digital media. A solid understanding of media concepts, strong negotiation skills, developing/executing media plans, ability to maintain and manage deadlines and need for excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate results of reporting in a clear and effective manner. Experience working directly with clients and serving their needs. Detail oriented and knowledgeable in both qualitative and quantitative analysis. Working knowledge of media research tools and broadcast/print/digital experience. Professional and advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint. Must have the capability to work on your own initiatives, be self-motivated, and meet multiple objections with little supervision. Ability to work on a team and collaborate on projects. Fast-learner, resourceful, with excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and planning skills with strength in time and project management. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and adapt quickly to new situations. Curiosity about new media, industry trends, and emerging tech. Required in office two days a week This Job Requires the Following Skills: Proficient knowledge in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, File sharing and Google Docs. Proficient knowledge of Strata or other buying software a plus. Knowledge in social media and digital media a plus. Why Avail Media?
