Are you a driven, competitive sales leader who thrives on building relationships and hitting ambitious goals? Embassy Suites Rockford Riverfront, a 160-room hotel with a full conference center, is seeking a confident, motivational Director of Sales to lead our on-site sales efforts, inspire a team of five, and drive revenue across rooms, groups, and events.
What You'll Do
Lead and motivate a sales team of five while partnering closely with the General Manager to drive total hotel revenue
Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize room, group, and conference center performance
Actively solicit new business, build long-term client relationships, and represent the hotel in the community
Participate in client meetings, conduct site tours, and deliver persuasive sales presentations
Analyze market trends, competitive data, and booking pace to adjust pricing and sales strategies
Oversee forecasting, reporting, and sales activity tracking to support business goals
What You'll Bring
Proven sales leadership experience with a strong drive to achieve and exceed goals
Confidence, initiative, and a competitive mindset balanced with collaboration and relationship-building
Ability to coach, motivate, and hold a sales team accountable
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Hotel or hospitality sales experience preferred, though strong sales backgrounds from other industries are welcome
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary based on experience starting at $78,000
