AI Consultant - Talent Solutions About the role Aon's Talent Solutions team helps clients make better people decisions by combining advisory expertise with analytics and technology! As an AI Consultant, you will design and deliver AI-enabled talent solutions that help clients understand the impact of AI on their workforces, reimagine jobs and skills, and accelerate transformation with practical, scalable outcomes. You'll partner across Talent Advisory and Analytics to integrate AI methods into client engagements spanning job architecture, rewards benchmarking, talent assessment, and workforce strategy so leaders can act with confidence.

Key Responsibilities Client advisory & delivery

Lead workstreams within client engagements to diagnose AI impacts on work, roles, and skills; synthesize findings into clear recommendations and implementation roadmaps.

Facilitate client workshops on job reimagination, future skills mapping, and change readiness; translate insights into practical actions across HR processes (e.g., job architecture, compensation, assessment).

Solution design & analytics

Apply AI sensitivity analysis, skills inference, and task decomposition to evaluate role changes and productivity outcomes; quantify value cases with supporting data.

Use and help evolve Aon's GenAI-enabled delivery tools (e.g., Job Matching, Job Description Writer, Job Evaluation) and the Compensation Manager platform to improve quality, speed, and scale.

Integration across Talent Solutions

Collaborate with colleagues in Rewards & Career, Assessment, and People Analytics to bring a unified AI perspective to client solutions; contribute to repeatable playbooks and assets.

Thought leadership & GTM support

Develop points of view, case studies, and client-ready content on AI's impact on talent and rewards; support targeted go‑to‑market initiatives and industry themes by sharing insights from delivery.

Risk, ethics & governance

Advise clients on responsible AI for HR‑privacy, fairness, transparency, human oversight and embed governance into solution design and change plans.

What you'll bring Experience

5‑8+ years in consulting, people analytics, HR technology, or adjacent fields; hands‑on exposure to job architecture, rewards, or assessment programs is a strong plus.

Practical experience applying AI/ML or advanced analytics to workforce or HR use cases (e.g., skills inference, role redesign, workforce planning, talent assessment).

Skills

Structured problem solving and hypothesis‑driven consulting; confident facilitation with senior stakeholders.

Ability to translate technical concepts (LLMs, embeddings, model evaluation) into business outcomes.

Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) or enterprise HR platforms; familiarity with Aon's Compensation Manager and GenAI delivery tools is advantageous.

Clear, compelling communication—written, visual, and verbal—tailored to executive audiences.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, business, or HR field required; advanced degree (MS/MA/MBA) or relevant certifications (e.g., data science, AI ethics) preferred.

Role parameters

Travel: ~20% (client‑facing, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder meetings as needed).

Work environment: Remote‑first with collaboration across North America; flexibility to align to client time zones.

Pay Transparency Laws Salary range or hourly pay range for the position

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $130,000 to $150,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, IL. The salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

Additional details Whether it is bonus/commission eligible: This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
