Golf Course Superintendent

to lead agronomic operations at one of Southwest Florida’s most scenic and member‑focused golf clubs.

This is an exciting opportunity for a superintendent who takes pride in strong turf conditions, team development, and operational leadership.

About the Role The Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and performance of the golf course and grounds, ensuring outstanding playing conditions while operating within approved financial and environmental guidelines.

You will work collaboratively with club leadership and Heritage Golf Group’s agronomy support team to deliver consistent, high‑quality results.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of golf course maintenance, agronomy, and grounds operations

Develop and execute agronomic plans, including fertility, irrigation, and pest management programs

Manage, train, mentor, and motivate the agronomy team

Prepare and manage departmental budgets, labor planning, and expense controls

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards

Oversee irrigation systems, equipment maintenance, and capital planning

Communicate effectively with the General Manager, Golf Professional staff, and members

Maintain strong attention to detail and pride in course presentation

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent ready to advance

Strong leadership skills with a positive, team‑first mindset

Knowledge of warm‑season turfgrass management (preferred)

Budgeting and financial acumen

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Ability to lead by example with a hands‑on, solutions‑oriented approach

Educational Requirements

Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field

Experience Requirements

Experience working in private club or high‑expectation daily‑fee environments

2‑4 years in a supervisory role
