
Lulu & Georgia is looking for a motivated Junior Staff Photographer to join our growing team! You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where multitasking and problem solving are key. This position requires strong studio photography skills with an emphasis in e-commerce, and we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, hard working, and organized. In this role, you’ll report to our Senior Staff Photographer, and work closely with our Creative, Buying, and Merchandising teams.
Responsibilities
Own the execution of all product photography. Liaise with the Buying and Merchandising teams to ensure all products are captured beautifully and accurately
Keep an organized file structure and system for in-house product photography
Assist the Photography team on set, serving as a second set of hands. This includes second shooting, helping light scenes, and retouching product photography
Assist in setting up and breaking down studio equipment, including lighting, backdrops, and props
Digital tech in studio and on set, support lifestyle photoshoots
Assist the Merchandising team or Buying team with any product imagery on site that needs retouching or resizing
Work with our retouching team to ensure product and lifestyle photos are retouched in a timely manner. Make final adjustments to ensure the product is represented accurately, and the images fit our brand aesthetics
Prep all files for web or print use and ensure that all final imagery adheres to our brand specs
Requirements
1-3 years of studio photography experience, ideally in an e-commerce setting
Strong retouching abilities - full command of Adobe Photography suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge)
1-3 years of experience with CaptureOne software
Familiarity with studio and location lighting, camera types, lenses, and studio equipment (e.g., strobes, modifiers, etc)
Candidates should be able to lift equipment or props up to 50lbs, stand for long periods of time, and handle repetitive tasks
Portfolio demonstrating high-quality studio and e-commerce photography
Must be local to the Los Angeles area
Must have reliable transportation for attending shoots
Excellent attention to detail
Adaptable and flexible to achieve company goals and objectives
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, email, telephone)
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Self-starter: capable of working while managing multiple projects simultaneously
Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
Willingness to learn new skills and grow
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Analytical, with the ability to problem solve
Ability to receive feedback and provide revisions quickly
Understanding of an e-commerce production workflow, e.g., shooting a large number of skus efficiently, batch editing, and meeting tight deadlines for product launches
