Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, the Director of Human Resources and Risk Management provides strategic leadership and oversight for all district HR and risk management operations. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing comprehensive personnel services and risk mitigation programs, including workers' compensation, liability and property insurance, loss-prevention initiatives, and student, visitor, and employee safety and security programs. The Director ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; oversees recruitment, retention, employee relations, job analysis, policy development, and performance evaluation monitoring; and manages confidential, classified, and management personnel processes. The position serves as a key resource to district leadership and staff, delivering guidance, information, and solutions that support organizational effectiveness, legal compliance, and risk reduction.
