The Director of Human Resources is a versatile and strategic HR leader responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of human resources for our U.S. and Canadian operations. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Human Resources, this role serves as a trusted advisor to management and employees while driving HR initiatives that support a positive, productive, and engaged workforce.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Oversee HR operations, including employee experience, employee relations, benefits and leave administration and policy administration. Serve as a primary point of contact for managers and employees on HR-related matters, providing guidance, coaching, and solutions-focused support. Support the SVP, HR in developing HR strategies, workplace programs, and organizational development initiatives. Ensure consistent application and communication of HR policies and procedures across the organization. Assist manufacturing plant HR departments with employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and performance improvement processes while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, provincial and local employment laws and regulations, including wage and hour, FMLA, ADA, EEO, ACA, and other applicable regulatory requirements. Assist with compensation and benefits processes as needed, including open enrollment and vendor support. Lead or support HR projects, process improvements, and change management initiatives to enhance HR service delivery. Maintain accurate HR data, reporting, and documentation to support decision-making and audit readiness. Provide guidance and coaching to managers on HR-related situations, policy interpretations, and dispute resolution. Perform HR audits, risk assessments and compliance initiatives at plant locations. Drive continuous improvement and process optimization across the HR function. Required Skills/Abilities:

Demonstrated ability to think strategically and anticipate organizational needs. Ability to design and lead initiatives that build a positive employee experience, increase engagement and foster strong connection between employees and the organization. Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulatory requirements. Clear and credible communication, problem-solving and change management skills. Proven ability to lead, coach and develop teams and balance multiple priorities. Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred. 7+ years of broad, well rounded HR experience, preferably with a multi-national manufacturing company. Experience with a marketing and/or retail company is also useful. Experience with UKG, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. desired. Experience supporting senior leadership and influencing across organizational levels.
