The Director of Human Resources will play a pivotal role in leading and managing key functions within the HR department, including HR Generalists, Talent Acquisition, Onboarding and events coordination and HR specialist. This position requires a dynamic and strategic leader with strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of HR best practices, and the ability to design and implement effective programs that support supervisors and managers in achieving organizational goals. The ideal candidate will ensure that HR initiatives align with business objectives while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on efficiency, operational excellence, and employee experience across all HR functions.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP

Although the Director of Human Resources reports directly to the CHRO, they work with every department and leader in the company as a leader of change and collaboration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise and provide guidance to the HR Generalist and Talent Acquisition teams

• Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment within the HR team and organization

• Set clear goals and objectives for team members and monitor their performance regularly

• Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive onboarding process for new employees

• Support and ensure HR-related events, including training sessions, workshops, and employee engagement activities are prioritized and communicated throughout the organization

• Ensure that all onboarding activities and events align with the company's values and objectives

• Analyze and recommend modifications to compensation, benefits, hiring and referral packages to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements

• Review and communicate statistical data and reports by department to help identify causes of turnover, employee relations and develop recommendations for improvement of the organization's personnel policies and practices

• Manage day-to-day HR operations, including but not limited to employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and compliance auditing cadence

• Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and industry best practices

• Regularly review and update HR processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness

• Assist in the design and delivery of robust training programs for supervisors and managers on topics such as leadership development, performance management, investigations and conflict resolution

• Evaluate the effectiveness of HR initiatives and priorities and adjust as necessary

• Identify high-potential employees and provide them with opportunities for growth and advancement

• Mentor and coach managers to enhance their leadership skills and capabilities

• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 5 years of progressive experience in team leadership and development

• Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

• Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Experience in designing and delivering training programs is highly desirable

• HRIS or LMS experience with implementation

• Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English

EDUCATION

• Must have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D.

Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or Human Resources preferred
