An Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through processing orders and coordinating customer service needs with other functions within the branch. This role serves as customer contact regarding such matters as pricing, scheduling and shipping. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for performance in the areas of sales, gross margin, gross margin percentage, market share growth, and profitability of all product lines./ph3Key Accountabilities/h3pSales:/pulliReceive and handle calls from existing and new customers to explain the type of services or products we can offer/liliQuote prices and use sales skills to complete the purchase/liliOutbound calls to follow up on previous quotes/liliSecure and place orders with others for filling and arrange delivery date/liliRecord names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of prospects solicited/liliWork with the outside sales and manager to secure customer satisfaction on all accounts./liliWorks with shipping dept to arrange special delivery circumstances/liliPrepare and work reports on sales activities and expediting./liliSource product for special and direct non-stock customer orders/liliAssemble all information necessary for a customer quotation/liliPrepare customer quotations and analyze quotation results/liliProvide appropriate report information to sales management and outside sales/liliFollow up after sending quotes/li/ulpCustomer Service:/pulliAdjusts complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation/liliEnsure customer returns are handled in accordance with company policy/liliProvide support at the counter during peak customer times as needed/li/ulh3Education and/or Experience:/h3ulliTwo-year certificate/degree from college or technical school or/liliSix months to two years related experience and/or training or/liliEquivalent combination of education and experience/li/ulh3Requirements:/h3ulliRead and interpret documents such as training instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals/liliWrite routine reports and correspondence/liliSpeak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization/liliInterface in a customer responsive manner over the telephone and in person/liliHandle difficult customer situations with diplomacy/liliAbility to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations./liliCalculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry/liliApply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
