We provide:/pulliComprehensive health benefits that start day 1/liliStudent Loan Repayment Assistance Reimbursement Programs/liliFamily-focused benefits/liliWellness incentives/liliOngoing mentorship, development, and leadership programs/liliAnd more/li/ulpWork Location: Atlanta, GA/ph2Description/h2pOVERVIEW:/pulliOrganizes, plans and directs the daily activities of the department under the leadership of the director./liliDirects all business service activities to include policies and procedures./liliPlans, directs, manages, coordinates and monitors assigned specific activities related to revenue cycle operations for Emory Healthcare./liliResponsible for maximizing reimbursements and revenue enhancement./liliServe as a key leader and senior member of the PFS management team./liliOversees and is responsible for Accounts Receivable balance and activity management./liliManages timely and appropriate application of payments and refunds./liliClosely monitors third party payments for compliance with contractual agreements./liliPursues additional payments as appropriate./liliEnsures revenue cycle processes are managed timely with proper adjudication procedures./liliIntervenes with third party entities when necessary./liliServes as key contact for Emory International, Patient Advocacy, VIPs and Administration./liliWorks closely with Project Managers of Artiva, Cerner, Data Warehouse, etc. to enhance work flow and ongoing best practices for Revenue Cycle./liliResponsible for monthly reporting of collections, appeals and payment variances to the Finance Department, Care Coordination and CFOs of each individual facility./liliWorks closely with colleagues of Emory Clinic on the initiatives for current and future state of streamlining departmental process to improve the Patient Experience and the overall Revenue Cycle./liliAssists in Management of onboarding and/or integration of new hospital services, acquired business relationships, facilities, etc./liliBuilding, maintaining and encouraging a productive working relationship with all staff members./liliManages staff and employee performance./liliResolves human resource-related issues, determines staffing needs, interviews and hires staff./liliProvides ongoing performance feedback, addresses problems, orients and trains employees, verifies competencies and identifies and suggests ways to develop skills./liliDetermines disciplinary, termination and salary actions./liliMonitors workflow./liliDevelops departmental goals, objectives and performance standards./liliMeets with other staff members to discuss progress and to develop future courses of action./liliEstablishes, revises, administers and communicates policies, procedures and related forms in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines./liliCommunicates and monitors compliance with regulatory, licensing and accreditation standards./liliManages third party relationships including but not limited to Early Out Accounts Receivable and Bad Debt Inventory./li/ulh2Minimum Qualifications/h2ulliBachelors Degree in a healthcare or related field with 10 years healthcare experience or 8 years revenue cycle experience, 4 of which must be supervisory OR any combination of equivalent education and experience./li/ulh2Additional Details/h2pEmory is an equal opportunity employer, and qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by state or federal law./ppEmory Healthcare is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities upon request.
