The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.
The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Summary of Job Function The Customer Service Representative assists in the provision of pharmaceutical services from initial refill call to delivery of prescriptions.
Provides customer support and expedites all communication coming into the office.
Work and/or performance shall conform to written established policies and procedures.
Works closely with Pharmacists.
Qualifications Education/Training/Certification/Licensure:
High School graduate or equivalent
Associates degree preferred
Experience: 1 year of Pharmacy experience
Registered with the Board of Pharmacy within 180 days of start date
Knowledge with patient copays preferred
Successful completion of all orientations
Work Environment and Hazards
Hazards include risk of physical injury from operation of equipment
Special Physical Demands
Must meet requirements of the ADA
Understands and adheres to the company policy and requirements
EG: Snow day and sick time
Arrives to work on time
Participates on an assigned committee and understands the concept of that committee
Willing to be cross-trained to work or assist in other areas
Helps co-workers when appropriate
Willingness and flexible to work alternating work schedules on short notice
Will support management and do what is asked
Calls patient with copay amounts after prescriptions are filled
Process credit card payments when credit card obtained
Responsible for handling calls coming in through the ACD phone system
Able to assist filling technicians with dispensing, preparing, and distributing of all medications and pharmaceutical products
Track mail & driver deliveries thru USPS and resolve shipping issues
Responsible for entering data in the daily volume logs to track productivity
Responsible for contacting patients to schedule new prescriptions that come in by the physician
Tracking all document required by Medicare, including assignment of benefits, Physician order, Receipt of deliver forms and delivery tickets
Completes all steps needed for collecting a C,O,D, payment
Empty safe and start the paperwork for processing monies
Responsible for weekly refill compliance calls
Follows up with all patients post discharge to ensure the understanding of insurance and processes
Assists reimbursement department with re-billing issues when needed
Generates weekly compliance refill report in a timely manner
Correctly package orders for mail delivery
Maintains prescription files and refill sheets in an orderly manner
Track returned packages and give to appropriate person for reversal process
Create & process delivery tickets for the completion of an order
Adjudicates prescriptions correctly, covering cost of medication
