Senior Marketing and Proposal Specialist
in our dynamic engineering, environmental consulting, and construction firm. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about strategic business development, creative thinking, and crafting compelling proposals. We seek self-driven candidates who are organized, efficient under deadlines, and can collaborate effectively with diverse teams of engineers, marketers, and design staff to produce persuasive content and standout deliverables. Role Overview: The Senior Marketing and Proposal Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting sales and marketing initiatives, particularly in the Northern California-Sierras Area. Key responsibilities include tracking proposal opportunities, conducting research, leading pre-RFQ/P positioning activities, creating compelling proposals, and developing marketing materials. You will work closely with senior leaders to implement strategies that will enhance our competitive edge in the market. Proposal / Presentation Development : Collaborate with teams to advance our proposal positioning. Responsibilities include leading capture planning, managing multiple proposals, crafting persuasive messaging, ensuring compliance with branding, and overseeing production efficiencies. You will mentor team members in proposal development and facilitate interview preparation. Client Development : Support Client Service Managers in client engagement activities, such as preparing information packages and organizing client workshops. Work with technical teams to foster strong client relationships and enhance our business development strategies. Business Development : Assist in improving company marketing processes for maximum effectiveness. Help plan regional conferences to optimize our market presence. Marketing Information : Create and maintain updated qualifications statements, project descriptions, and professional resumes that highlight our firm’s strengths and client benefits. Ensure timely entry of opportunity information in our tracking systems. Desired Skills and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or Marketing with 6-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in engineering, environmental, architectural, or construction sectors. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on persuasive writing and presentation abilities. Experience in coaching interviews/presentations is essential. Strong multi-tasking, prioritization, and independent working skills, especially under tight deadlines. Ability to analyze data and identify key patterns effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with InDesign is highly preferred. Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed. Salary Range:
