Job Category Technology Compensation Overview The annual base salary for this role varies nationwide and is influenced by factors such as the role's complexity, location, and your skills and experience. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits package, eligible employees can also earn performance-based cash incentive awards. Salary Range $161,400.00 - $266,300.00 What Is the Opportunity? Travelers is looking for a visionary AVP, Circle Lead / Team of Teams Lead to lead the transformation of our digital content technology ecosystem. You will drive the strategy and execution for platforms managing billions of multimedia assets vital for various business operations—from underwriting and policy documentation to claims processing. This content is not only operationally necessary but also a strategic asset capable of powering AI innovation, enhancing user experiences, and unlocking exceptional business value. In this transformative leadership role, you will collaborate with technology and business leaders throughout our organization to unify and modernize fragmented platforms into a scalable ecosystem that positions Travelers for future growth. In this highly visible position, you will: Lead a multi-team agile organization that delivers enterprise-wide digital content capabilities across the complete lifecycle: creation, management, storage, retrieval, and delivery. Strategically partner with business stakeholders to define, plan, and execute technical solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. Utilize deep technical expertise and agile methodologies to architect scalable, future-ready platforms. Champion innovation while ensuring operational excellence across billions of content assets. What Will You Do? Strategic Leadership & Vision Define and execute a digital content technology strategy aligned with enterprise business & technology goals. Drive platform consolidation efforts from legacy systems to modern architecture. Ensure stability, availability, scalability, and maintainability of digital content platforms. Partner with business Circle Leads to plan and deliver technical solutions supporting business goals. Team Leadership & Management Lead and develop a high-performing technology organization composed of multiple agile teams. Oversee people-management responsibilities for technology team members and potentially guide other Technology Circle Leads. Foster positive team dynamics and collaboration while driving self-organization. Enhance agile maturity within and across teams. Remove obstacles to team success and assist in conflict resolution, issue, and dependency management. Portfolio & Delivery Management Drive, manage, implement, and monitor complex portfolios of digital content deliverables, features, and capabilities. Implement test and learn processes to redefine future deliverables and measure performance. Prioritize interdependent technology backlogs, addressing risks and dependencies across Circles and Lines of Business. Make trade-off decisions balancing quality, cost, and timelines to maximize value while adhering to technology standards. Adapt overall roadmap of deliverables based on learnings and evolving business needs. Innovation & Market Intelligence Advocate innovation, particularly in AI-enabled digital content capabilities and enhanced user experiences. Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities where content and data can drive a competitive edge. Explore innovative solutions both internally and externally. Ensure competitive benchmarking of critical digital content technical expertise and capabilities. Resource & Vendor Management Manage technical resource allocation, including vendor management and performance oversight. Collaborate with external partners to fulfill expectations as needed. Collaboration & Relationship Building Balance strategic vision with hands-on delivery, ensuring teams deliver value aligned with stakeholders' needs. Build collaborative relationships across Circles, business areas, and with key partners. Maintain trusting relationships across the organization with the ability to influence executive leadership. Work together with team members to enhance team velocity. Perform additional duties as assigned. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have? Six years of experience in an agile/execution leadership role delivering technology solutions on a demanding schedule. Five years of people leadership/management experience. Strong technical leadership, preferably with experience in digital content creation and management. Proven experience leading large-scale technology transformations. Experience in building and leading agile organizations, with a track record of attracting and developing top talent. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to translate technical complexity into business value. Strategic thinking along with a strong execution mindset. Strong analytical skills, able to make decisions based on data. Knowledge of the Line of Business and the ability to optimize value through solution identification.
