CURRENT OPPORTUNITY
Join our dynamic team as a Collateral Loan Boarding Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in the review and analysis of loan boarding packages for both commercial and consumer loans. Your expertise will help manage and book collateral to our Collateral Management System, ensuring seamless operations and compliance. You will collaborate with our Closing Department to expertly resolve any collateral matters that arise, both before and after the boarding process. This is an exciting opportunity to handle moderate to complex collateral issues independently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct thorough collateral reviews and identify any exceptions.
Ensure tracking of Demands and Reconveyances aligns with regulatory and government requirements.
Maintain and update the Collateral Tracking System efficiently.
Respond to internal requests for collateral review and document preparation.
Ensure compliance with Bank policies and procedures regarding collateral perfection and monitoring.
Process, troubleshoot, and address collateral-related issues of varying complexity.
Uphold the integrity of data within the Collateral Management System.
Stay informed about applicable banking regulations and RESPA rules.
Oversee special projects independently.
Embrace and promote programs focused on customer service, community reinvestment, and equal opportunity.
QUALIFICATIONS Required Skills A minimum of 3 years of experience in documentation or a bank servicing environment.
At least 3 years of experience analyzing loan and credit approval documents.
Proficient in MS Office Suite for effective task execution.
Preferred Skills Familiarity with terminology and documents related to collateral perfection (e.g., real estate, Security Agreements, and UCC filings).
Adept at managing high volumes of work with timely processing.
Understanding of CFPB, RESPA, and Article 9 regulations.
Associate's degree or higher is preferred.
Strong analytical, data processing, and documentation skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to various loan processing systems.
Proficient in evaluating commercial and consumer notes and credit memorandums.
