The Senior Sales Representative is responsible for developing and securing new business for GATE Energy’s Project Delivery Services Business Unit. This role leads consultative, relationship-driven sales efforts across the capital project lifecycle, working with clients and EPC partners to position GATE Energy’s services from early project framing through execution and handover. The position supports opportunity qualification, proposal development, and contract negotiations while contributing to pipeline growth, client relationships, and overall business performance.
Experience & Education
Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in business development, technical sales, or client management within project delivery, engineering, commissioning/startup, construction management, offshore/marine services, and/or project controls or project risk services
Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field
MBA or other relevant postgraduate degree preferred
Demonstrated success generating leads and converting qualified opportunities into revenue in industrial project environments
Strong familiarity with capital project execution frameworks and owner decision gates, including FEL, FEED, and EPC execution models
Experience selling professional services to owner/operator organizations and/or EPC firms
Strong consultative, written, and presentation skills with demonstrated commercial awareness, effective stakeholder engagement, and working knowledge of CRM systems
Identify, develop, and advance new business opportunities aligned with GATE Energy’s Project Delivery Services strategy and target markets
Conduct proactive business development activities including prospecting, relationship building, and strategic networking
Manage opportunities through the full business development lifecycle, including lead generation, qualification, pursuit, proposal development, negotiation, and award
Maintain awareness of client needs, market conditions, competitive landscape, and service demand trends
Engage clients to understand project objectives, risks, constraints, and commercial drivers
Collaborate with discipline leads and project delivery leadership to develop service solutions, including scope, staffing approach, execution strategy, schedule, and commercial structure
Support development of win strategies and value messaging that articulate differentiation, execution confidence, and risk mitigation
Develop and maintain strong relationships with client decision-makers and key stakeholders
Serve as relationship manager for assigned key and growth accounts, supporting repeat work and account expansion
Coordinate and support proposal and pursuit activities, including bid/no-bid inputs, capture planning, pricing inputs, competitor assessments, and value proposition development
Support preparation of technical and commercial proposal content and participate in contract negotiations as required
Maintain accurate and current opportunity information in the company CRM, including contacts, pursuit status, probability, next actions, and forecast values
Provide regular pipeline updates and forecasting inputs to leadership
Obtain client feedback during and after project execution and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Coordinate with project delivery teams to support a smooth transition from business development to project execution
Promote a professional, high-performance culture aligned with GATE Energy’s values, policies, and procedures
Maintain strict confidentiality of client, commercial, pricing, staffing, and proprietary information
Other duties as assigned
Ability to travel frequently to client sites, conferences, and project locations (domestic and international).
Ability to travel offshore as required.
