Your Key Responsibilities
Works under the direction of Project Team leadership, collaborating closely to develop, refine, and implement design solutions that align with project goals.
Conducts basic interpretations of sketches, drawings, codes, program, and other similar material.
Supports project team in the development of interior design documentation and presentation materials.
Assists in the development of a design through sketches, physical models, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats.
Utilizes BIM technologies in the development of three-dimensional models of buildings and their components.
Assists in research of concept, benchmarks, materials, typology, and precedents.
Assists in material and furniture selections, space planning and communication with product representatives.
Qualifications
Hospitality design experience preferred.
Good understanding of Revit or at minimum AutoCad and the use of it as a design tool.
Experience with the most recent design software (Sketch-up, Rhino, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, etc.) is preferred.
Ability to hand sketch and communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively. To work independently or collaboratively within a project team. To engage in creative and critical thought. To interpret sketches, drawings, program and other similar material. To communicate abstract ideas (verbal/written/graphic).
Ability to think and develop design solutions three-dimensionally, with an understanding of spatial relationships and form in 3D environments.
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of lighting/fixtures, FFE and specifications.
Understanding of client's expectations of deliverables at different phases of projects including construction documents.
Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite; prefer experience with Newforma.
Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a CIDA accredited Interior Design program or related field. Interior Design License preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience preferred.
Pay Range Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas- $86,800.00 - $130,200.00 Annually
Benefits Summary Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
