New Car Director – Capitol Chevrolet (Austin, TX)
What You’ll Do
Lead, train, and motivate the New-Car Sales Team daily to maximize performance, appointments, and closing ratios
Execute strong floor management: presence on the tower, coaching during live deals, supporting touch-to-touch follow-up
Hit the mark: drive toward monthly unit and
SFE and Gross objectives
Recruit, onboard, and develop high-potential salespeople into consistent producers
Partner with the GM and GSM to build traffic, increase showroom engagement, and
grow market share
Maintain a
high-energy culture on the floor
— urgency, accountability, and customer obsession
Ensure customer experience excellence from greet to delivery, maintaining top CSI expectations
Work hand-in-hand with Finance, BDC, and Used teams to maximize total store success
What We’re Looking For
Chevrolet dealership experience REQUIRED (New-Car leadership preferred)
Minimum 10 years automotive retail leadership experience (Sales Manager, Finance Manager and General Sales Manager)
Demonstrated ability to grow volume and gross while leading people
Strong communication, coaching, and accountability style — visible and active on the floor
High energy, competitive drive, and dealership presence — leading by example
Familiar with lead process, CRM accountability, appointment culture and follow-up standards
Customer-first mindset with integrity and professionalism
