Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to lead sales for a vertically integrated, farmer-owned company with direct control over farming, sourcing, and production. You will work closely with ownership, play a critical role in planning and execution, and help scale brands built on transparency, quality, and long-term partnerships.
This is an in-office role based in West Sacramento, CA, with approximately 5 days of travel per month for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all food service sales for Next Generation Foods, including distributor, broker, and operator relationships
- Oversee sales strategy and execution for the True Origin Foods brand in food service and retail channels
- Own sales planning, annual growth targets, and channel-level strategy
- Develop and manage sales forecasts and inventory projections in close coordination with operations, supply chain, and leadership
- Ensure alignment between sales commitments, production capacity, inventory levels, and raw material availability
- Manage, evaluate, and optimize relationships with food service and retail brokers
- Work directly with distributors to drive distribution, velocity, pricing, and promotional execution
- Personally engage in hands-on selling with key accounts and strategic customers
- Support growth into private label and custom programs where applicable
- Represent the company at trade shows, sales meetings, and industry events
- Own pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and performance reporting
- Utilize CRM and sales tools to track opportunities, manage accounts, and drive accountability
- Collaborate closely with leadership, operations, and marketing to ensure disciplined execution of growth plans
Systems & Tools
- Strong experience using CRM platforms, HubSpot experience preferred
- Comfortable managing pipelines, forecasts, and reporting within a CRM
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience working within Microsoft Teams for internal communications and collaborations
- Ability to bring structure, consistency, and data-driven decision-making to the sales organization
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of direct experience in food industry sales, with meaningful exposure to both food service and retail
- Proven experience working with brokers and distributors
- Demonstrated success scaling food brands and managing multi-channel sales strategies
- Strong understanding of food service distribution, retail dynamics, and pricing structures
- Experience selling into private label customers is a strong plus
- Comfortable being both strategic and highly hands-on
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
