
Overview
A Director of Group Sales is responsible for leading a dynamic team of sellers and maximizing the group revenues of an asset on a consistent basis. Hilton is seeking strategic leaders who understand how to bring people, process, and performance together, to create a winning formula. Hilton’s Commercial Services organization comprises team members driving our sales, revenue, marketing, catering, and events management, call centers, and analytics functions. These functions are the core of Hilton’s “commercial engine” and are essential to Hilton’s ability to drive profitable growth.

Responsibilities
- Maintain current market through proactive sales solicitation and development of new business to meet assigned targets.
- Review and ensure follow-through on established strategy by verifying actions/calls documented in FDC. Assign, place, and price leads by territory, working with the Sales manager in establishing and implementing a documented strategy.
- Direct Sales Team to develop and refine their skills and prepare each team member for advancement.
- Administer the sales incentive program, team building, individual performance reviews, and trip reports. Sales administration, to include attendance at weekly rev max meetings, conduct weekly tentative reviews and business assessment, maintain lead management system, booked revenue goal setting, group booking pace reporting, sales development and recruitment, monthly/annual forecasting, and maintain an updated competitive attack on known accounts – supported by a direct sales plan.
- Travel with Managers and hold meetings to assist in closing business. Some travel is required.
What are we looking for?
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum Years of Experience: Three (3) or more years in hospitality sales & marketing leadership preferred
- Minimum Years of Experience: Three (3) years of cross-functional experience in hotel management, or related industry experience preferred.
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Additional/advanced degree coursework in business administration, marketing, and communications. Adaptable experience with business strategy, business planning, and business plan development.
- Ability to speak multiple languages
- Multiple Brand experience
- Proficiency in Delphi FDC preferred
