The primary goals of the IT Director are to:

  • Lead the direction of the Invera ERP system, and other major business facing applications.
  • Supervise and maintain the organization’s repository of software applications through best practices and the appropriate staffing.
  • Coordinate with Combined Metals business stakeholders to align business goals to technology solutions
  • Apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the user groups on issues related to the information and software systems.
  • Lead the Infrastructure Team on network, data management, and security processes for all Combined Metal locations
  • Coordinate with the other National Material companies on alignment of IT services and capabilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

ERP Transformation

  • Lead the successful completion of the Invera ERP implementation for all Combined Metals businesses
  • Reduce dependency on in-house developed systems by identifying scalable, cost-effective commercial solutions.
  • Develop strategy to migrate OnPrem infrastructure configuration to maximize Azure cloud utilization

CRM and Sales Enablement

  • Guide the continued use of Dynamic CRM platform

Data management

  • Guide the direction on the creation of a data warehouse structure to support organization analytics needs

Security, Regulatory & Tracking Systems

  • Verify all IT systems are fully compliant with National Material and Combined Metals security protocols
  • Support the CMMC 2.0 certification process for Combined Metals
  • Ensure technology supports environmental, safety, and regulatory obligations.

Team Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Lead a team of 7 IT professionals across infrastructure, operations, and application development.
  • Elevate team capabilities, develop leadership within the IT function, and build a high-performance culture.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in Business Administration, Management, Project Management, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Microsoft technology environment, including 2-3 years of practical professional experience in project management
  • Experience leading at least one full enterprise ERP upgrade
  • 3 plus years of leadership experience/ building and managing high performing teams.
  • Fundamental understanding of web-based systems programming and development
  • Proficient with MS Project or similar software and MS Office applications
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional project teams
  • Ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines
  • Ability to effectively manage staff
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills, including conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a professional manner with technology staff, business stakeholders, end users, management and others outside the organization
  • Ability to work independently
  • Self-motivated with ability to drive projects
  • Experience in working in multisite manufacturing environment

Preferred or Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with process improvement projects and Lean/Six-Sigma manufacturing principles
