We are seeking qualified contractors to fulfill the role of a

Brokerage IRA Specialist , who will be a key contributor within the Capital Markets Operations team, focusing on Individual Retirement Account (IRA) processing. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, accurate transaction handling, and exceptional client service. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to manage complex IRA activities, resolve inquiries, and support operational excellence. You will work closely with peers, follow established guidelines, and contribute to maintaining financial integrity across processes. This opportunity is open to individuals located in

Richmond, VA and/or surrounding areas. Additionally, the role requires onsite work 5 days a week, Monday - Friday. The project hours of operations will be

Monday - Friday , in which candidate must be available to work an

8-hour shift between 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Eastern Time . Contractors will be engaged and paid by a third-party payroll supplier,

BCforward , which will serve as the employer of record for tax and compliance purposes. Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

Process IRA distributions, contributions, transfers, rollovers, and beneficiary claims with precision and compliance. Handle complex IRA transactions such as Roth conversions, excess contribution removals, and recharacterizations. Review and interpret documentation for deceased accounts, beneficiary changes, and Power of Attorney requests. Ensure accurate tax reporting by applying correct transaction codes and processing tax document corrections. Deliverables or Project Scope

Maintain compliance with IRS regulations and IRA rules across all transactions. Provide timely and accurate responses to client and front-office inquiries. Support training initiatives for Financial Advisors and Client Service Associates on Wealthscape and ICP platforms. Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements and ensuring operational accuracy. Collaboration Tools or Platforms

Wealthscape – for account management and transaction processing. Integrated Cashiering Platform (ICP) – for cash movement and operational workflows. Microsoft Office Suite – for documentation, reporting, and communication. Internal communication channels (email, phone) for client and team support. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience. 1 year of brokerage industry experience. Preferred Qualifications

Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to handle multiple assignments and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality. How To Apply
