About the Role
We’re looking for a Business Growth Strategist to join our team and play a key role in driving new business while guiding clients through high-level marketing strategy. This role blends business development, strategic consulting, and fractional CMO-level thinking. You’ll work directly with business owners, helping them understand where they are, where they want to go, and how marketing can get them there. While generating new business is a primary focus, this role also supports long-term client success through strategic guidance and collaboration with our internal teams. This position is ideal for someone who understands marketing deeply, is comfortable in sales conversations, and enjoys tying strategy to real business results.
Key Responsibilities Business Development & Growth
Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities aligned with Greenbaum Stiers’ ideal client profile
Lead discovery calls and strategy discussions with prospective clients
Translate business goals into clear, high-level marketing strategies and service recommendations
Collaborate with leadership on proposals, pricing, and service structuring
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities
Represent Greenbaum Stiers at networking events, conferences, and industry functions
Act as a strategic advisor and fractional CMO for assigned clients
Lead onboarding strategy and ensure alignment between client goals and marketing execution
Develop and guide overall marketing strategy across paid media, SEO, branding, and creative
Analyze performance data and provide strategic recommendations for growth
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities based on client needs and performance
Support Account Managers and internal teams with strategic direction
Collaboration & Internal Leadership
Work closely with Account Managers, Paid Media, SEO, and Creative teams to ensure alignment
Participate in planning and strategic review sessions
Provide feedback on service offerings based on market trends and client needs

Qualifications
5+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, or business development
Proven experience in sales, consulting, or growth strategy (agency experience strongly preferred)
Strong understanding of lead generation efforts, including paid media (search, social, video, OTT), website performance and conversion optimization, SEO fundamentals and content strategy
Comfortable working within analytics, CRM, and project management platforms to evaluate performance and guide strategy, including tools such as GA4, CallRail, AgencyAnalytics, ClickUp, and SEMrush.
Experience working with or marketing for home service or home improvement businesses is a plus
Strong communication and presentation skills
Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven
Preferred Experience
Advertising or marketing sales background
Experience acting as a strategist, consultant, or fractional CMO
Understanding of local service marketing, seasonality, and lead-based businesses
