
We are looking for a motivated and commercially focused Junior Marketing Manager / Product Manager to support the marketing and product management activities for Sophi, Rayner’s cataract phacoemulsification platform, within the US market.
This role is primarily executional, with responsibility for managing the product from a marketing and commercial perspective rather than leading product development. The role will focus on market support, sales enablement, launches, and day-to-day product management activities, working closely with senior marketing leadership, global product management, Sales, and Service teams. The position is well suited to an individual earlier in their product or marketing career who is looking to develop within ophthalmic capital equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the management of the Sophi cataract phaco platform within the US market
Maintain product information, positioning, and core messaging in alignment with global strategy.
Act as a key point of contact for sales teams on product-related questions and requests
Support lifecycle activities including updates, enhancements, and phase-in/phase-out communications.
Sales Enablement
Develop and maintain sales tools, presentations, product guides, and competitive comparisons.
Assist with product demonstrations, wet labs, customer visits, and congress activity as required.
Market & Competitive Insight
Gather feedback from the field, customers, and distributors to support continuous improvement.
Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and messaging within the US market.
Summarise market insights and share with senior marketing and global product teams.
Launch & Campaign Execution
Support US product launches, upgrades, and promotional campaigns
Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure launch readiness.
Ensure marketing materials are compliant, up to date, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Service, Clinical, and Regulatory teams to support commercial execution and PMCF activities.
Interface with global product management and R&D teams, providing structured feedback rather than direct development ownership.

Exposure to capital equipment, surgical devices, or ophthalmology preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to travel within the US as required
Desirable
Experience in ophthalmology or surgical capital equipment
Experience supporting sales teams or distributors
Familiarity with FDA-regulated medical device marketing
Advanced degree or marketing qualification
