Junior IT Asset Management Analyst
to join our IT Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the lifecycle management of our hardware and software assets, ensuring data accuracy within our CMDB, and helping optimize our technology investments. experience to grow their expertise in a fast-paced corporate environment. Key Responsibilities Asset Lifecycle Management:
Assist in tracking IT assets from procurement through disposal, ensuring all hardware and software records are up-to-date. ServiceNow Administration:
Use ServiceNow
HAM
and
SAM
modules to manage asset inventories, track deployments, and maintain compliance. Data Reconciliation:
Perform regular audits and data reconciliations using Excel to identify discrepancies between physical inventory, procurement records, and the CMDB. Process Support:
Support ITIL-based processes (Change, Incident, and Request) as they relate to asset management. Reporting:
Generate periodic reports on asset utilization, software license compliance, and hardware refresh cycles. Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with Procurement, IT Support, and Finance teams to streamline asset workflows. Role Requirements To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria: Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). Experience:
1–2 years of experience in IT Asset Management, IT Operations, or a similar IT support environment. Technical Skills:
* Direct, hands-on experience with the
ServiceNow
platform, specifically the
Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
and
Software Asset Management (SAM)
modules. Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
(e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) for data analysis and reporting. Industry Knowledge:
A solid foundational understanding of
ITIL processes
and how
CMDB relationships
function. Core Competencies:
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. An analytical mindset capable of troubleshooting data discrepancies.
