Outside Sales Representative (Full Time), New Orleans, LA
Company IDN-Acme, a leading distributor of security hardware, access control systems, video surveillance equipment, doors & frames, locksmithing tools, and related security products.
Job Description Based in New Orleans, LA, the individual is directly responsible for the development and performance of all outside sales activities pertaining to locksmith dealers and select commercial accounts in the New Orleans and Southern Louisiana area including Metairie, Kenner and Gretna. The individual is responsible for achieving maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. This includes establishing plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the designated geographic area and to expand the volume of our commercial door operation.
Responsibilities
Develop a business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
Directly responsible for all sales activities pertaining to locksmiths and related new account development in the New Orleans and Southern Louisiana area (as an assigned Territory).
Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding sales performance.
Ensure accurate records/reporting related to call scheduling, activity reporting, and contact management as related to the use of the company’s CRM software.
Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
Key Working Relationships
Demonstrate an ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
Work closely and cooperatively with Inside Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Accounting.
Demonstrate excellence in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.
Meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes.
Maintain contact with all employees at the IDN-New Orleans Branch.
Requirements
3-10 years sales experience in a distribution environment.
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
Strong product knowledge in the areas of mechanical door hardware, electronic access control systems, and/or doors and frames.
Willingness to travel and work throughout New Orleans and Southern Louisiana area.
Strong computer skills.
Strong communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with an ability to multi-task.
Cross-functional team player.
