Consilio is seeking a

Client Account Assistant

to support the Accounting & Finance team of a law firm client.

Location:

Predominantly remote -- 1 day/month in office; candidates must live within commuting distance of

Reston, VA

or

Washington, DC .

On‑site Requirement:

Approximately one day per month for training or departmental meetings.

Salary Range:

$62,000–$66,000

This role is ideal for individuals who are detail‑oriented, numbers‑driven, and experienced in customer service or financial environments (e.g., banking).

Key Responsibilities

Distribute, log, prepare, process, and mail client billing.

Provide timely and accurate assistance to attorneys, clients, and internal teams to resolve billing issues.

Prepare and provide cost backup documentation.

Research inquiries related to past and current billing.

Organize and prepare monthly billing for electronic scanning.

Review and summarize engagement letters involving special financial arrangements.

Enter financial terms and arrangements into the accounting system.

Maintain and update client and matter databases.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to learn and use iManage and other firm applications after orientation.

Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior billing or accounting experience.

Previous law firm experience.

General understanding of accounting principles.

Experience with 3E and electronic billing systems.

10‑key by touch.

Fast learner with strong accuracy and follow‑through.

Excellent math skills and attention to detail.

Professional demeanor and strong client‑service orientation.

Strong organizational, verbal, listening, and written communication skills.

Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Collaborative and able to work effectively with colleagues and vendors.
