
Overview
Responsibilities and expectations for the Community Associate role at NYCHA include supporting the execution and optimization of the investment/funding strategy, monitoring bank accounts, preparing cash position forecasts, processing cash transactions, and contributing to treasury process improvements. The role also supports payroll, repo activity, and portfolio performance reporting as needed.
Responsibilities
Support the execution and optimization of NYCHA investment/Funding strategy in accordance with internal policies.
Monitor Authority bank accounts daily to ensure proper funding levels and make recommendations on funds available for investments.
Support preparation of daily cash position, forecasts and variance analysis to identify funds available for investments.
Process cash transactions (wire, book, ACH) timely and accurately.
Support per diem expense credit card program for resident relocations in connection with Lead abatement property improvement program.
Seek process improvement opportunities and contribute to automation efforts within treasury operations.
Prepare reports, summarize portfolio performance and short-term liquidity.
Special projects/analysis assigned by Manager and Treasurer.
Support bi-weekly payroll distribution process as needed.
Support repo investment activity as needed.
Support portfolio performance reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
Preferred Skills
Bachelors Degree from accredited college
A minimum of one year of experience in finance, ideally in Treasury
Strong analytical and communication skills
Proactive problem solver
Advanced Excel (lookups, pivot tables)
