Overview Zoe Feldman Design is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to act as the Project Manager for our New York design team. This role is ideal for a highly organized, technically proficient professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-end residential environment and excels at managing complex renovation projects from concept through installation. The Project Manager serves as the

logistical and construction lead , ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest level of quality while providing exceptional client service.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field preferred

5+ years of experience in interior design, architecture, or construction project management, preferably in luxury residential projects

Strong technical proficiency in AutoCAD (required), Studio Designer a plus

Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Client-focused mindset with a high level of professionalism and empathy

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities

Collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-driven approach

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment

Willingness to travel for site visits and installations

Responsibilities

Act as the project and construction lead for a three-person design team (Project Manager, Designer, Design Assistant) from kickoff through installation

Manage 4–6 concurrent high-end residential projects, including full-scale gut renovations

Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and work plans

Ensure adherence to design intent, scope, timelines, and quality standards

Collaborate with clients and designers to understand project goals and design vision

Prepare and present inspiration imagery, space plans, and mood boards for architectural finishes and custom millwork

Design, document, and oversee the execution of custom millwork and built-ins

Work closely with architects and consultants to develop and manage construction documentation, including RFIs, bids, schedules, and installation timelines

Prepare and issue proposals

Coordinate closely with the procurement team throughout ordering, fabrication, delivery, and installation

Oversee on-site installation of construction elements, finishes, lighting, plumbing, and equipment

Respond to contractor and vendor questions promptly and decisively

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and consultants

Lead client meetings and presentations related to construction progress and logistics

Conduct frequent site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues proactively

Maintain clear, consistent communication to ensure a positive client experience

Physical Requirements

Ability to navigate active construction sites, including climbing stairs and standing or moving for extended periods

Ability to lift and carry packages or materials up to 30 lbs as needed

Ability to communicate clearly with clients, contractors, vendors, and team members on site
