We are seeking a skilled Data Collection, Reporting and Digitization Professional to drive forward our Packaging Sustainability program. You will join our Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) department for a contract till year-end 2026, starting as early as possible and no later than March 2, 2026. In this role, you will work closely with the packaging and primary container experts in global MSAT, at local sites and contract manufacturers (CMO’s). You will engage virtually and personally across our global packaging network to capture, report and digitize our products and brands bills of material, item materials composition and weight. This will drive reporting for compliance with upcoming regulations, as well as strategic decision making on footprint reduction programs and projects.
Roles and Responsibilities Connecting people Internal and external sites packaging contacts to obtain information currently not digitally available Internal global subject matter experts (SME’s) for data verification and structuring Technical Writers for reporting and digitization Office of Sustainability Product team for final delivery Digitization Data Architect & Engineer for modelling MSAT sustainability lead for escalation and final delivery
Driving progress Own the execution plan Monitor progress and drive priorities Report updates regularly Mitigate risk and issues
Delivering results Obtain packaging materials data from across the J&J supply network, validate content and structure with SME’s and provide to technical writers for reporting. Drive efficient and accurate creation, review and approval of required reports for regulatory compliance. Ensure digitization of data in our central sustainability model for packaging and devices.
Trends and Innovations Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in sustainability data reporting and digitization. Recommend advancements in tools and technologies to enhance data capabilities within the organization.
How to succeed The ideal candidate will communicate fluently, have a proactive mindset, good project management skills, a structured approach to data management and a strong technical background in pharmaceutical packaging operations, engineering, qualification, validation, procurement or master data.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technology, Engineering, IT or Pharma. At least 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging operations, engineering, procurement and master data. Experience with packaging is essential. Knowledge of data integration technologies and tools. Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively and drive collaboration in a virtual environment.
Details This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run until the end of 2026. Open to candidates who live in Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands or Switzerland presently. 100% remote working from any of these countries, no travel required.
