We are seeking a motivated individual to support a growing residential property management portfolio in Chicago. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the field, working with tenants and prospects, and supporting day-to-day property operations — while learning the operational side of property management.

This position will work in a small team and will focus primarily on leasing execution, with additional support across maintenance coordination, move-ins/move-outs, and office operations.

Primary Responsibilities

Leasing & showing coordination (Primary focus during leasing season)

Post and manage listings on MLS and AppFolio

Handle inbound inquiries from prospects and agents

Schedule and conduct apartment showings

Set up and manage lockboxes for showings

Communicate with cooperating agents

Assist with rental applications and documentation

Send application links (Snappt, AppFolio, etc.)

Prepare application summaries for review

Send move-in letters and assist with onboarding approved tenants

Property management support

Assist with move-in and move-out coordination

Conduct move-out inspections using provided checklists

Walk units prior to move-in to confirm readiness

Organize key exchanges and lockboxes

Communicate with tenants regarding scheduling and logistics

Maintenance and vendor coordination

Monitor and update work orders in AppFolio

Order approved materials and supplies for work orders

Maintain organization of keys, lockboxes, and supplies

Support day-to-day operational tasks as needed

Requirements

Reliable personal vehicle (required for showings and site visits)

Strong communication and organization skills

Comfortable working independently in the field

Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities

Strong computer skills - experience with Microsoft Office suite and AppFolio preferred

Ability to use an iPhone or Android phone to respond to emails/text messages and manage work orders through our property management system App

Preferred Qualifications

Previous leasing or property management experience

Familiarity with Chicago rental market

Experience coordinating vendors or maintenance requests

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive base salary ($60,000)
