We are looking for a New York City-based media professional to join our team full time. This is an on-camera role where you will host and lead interviews with journalists, editors, and producers, owning the program end-to-end from outreach through publishing. You will turn those conversations into strong editorial content that builds Qwoted’s credibility with the media community, and you will work closely with Marketing to shape topics, refine drafts, and activate content across channels through a relationship-driven approach. This role is hybrid with an expectation of in-person interviews and attendance to occasional media-based events as needed. What You Will Do
Research relevant topics and identify media professionals to interview (both Qwoted users and non-users) Conduct outreach, build relationships, and schedule interviews (with internal approval prior to scheduling) Lead and record interviews in person or hybrid as needed across NYC Produce a consistent set of deliverables from each interview:
1 full-length interview (5 to 15 minutes) 1 transcript 3 to 5 short clips (15 to 30 seconds) for social 1 written summary or blog write-up
Develop editorial style content from interviews and market insights, including written features, short-form content, and campaign assets Partner with Marketing to plan and execute media marketing initiatives and community engagement programs Join a monthly editorial meeting to align on topics, themes, and upcoming interviews Track content performance and community feedback, then recommend improvements based on what you learn Maintain a consistent voice across channels and collaborate to improve speed and quality of content production What We Are Looking For
8+ years of experience in media, journalism, editorial, or community building for media audiences Strong interviewing skills and the ability to turn conversations into compelling, accurate stories Comfortable on-camera and able to conduct and host interviews on video (live or recorded), including moderation, follow-up questioning, and keeping conversations on track Excellent writing and editing instincts, with strong editorial judgment and an understanding of what media professionals care about Comfortable owning a full interview and content workflow with minimal oversight, while collaborating closely with Marketing on priorities and approvals Self-directed, organized, and able to manage multiple interviews and deadlines Nice to have
Existing network of media contacts in NYC Multimedia experience, with TV experience as a plus Experience producing multi-format content, including newsletters, social, long-form features, and video or audio scripts Familiarity with marketing analytics and content performance measurement Experience representing a brand in an editorial or community-facing capacity Success looks like
A steady, reliable pipeline of high-quality media interviews Consistent publishable output from each interview, including video, clips, transcript, and written summary Increased engagement and credibility with media professionals in the NYC market Strong cross-functional collaboration that improves messaging, speed, and quality of content production We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
