We are seeking a

Trade Compliance Specialist

to join our team in Vancouver, WA. This role has a primary focus on

duty drawback claims, tariff classification (HTS), and CBP compliance

and supports import/export compliance by analyzing trade data, identifying tariff recovery opportunities, and coordinating with internal teams and brokers to prepare and file accurate, timely drawback claims.

Location:

On-site Vancouver, WA

Salary:

$50,000 to $60,000 DOE

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

Prepare and track duty drawback claims for exported products.

Collect, organize, and validate import/export documentation and data, including entry summaries, invoices, bills of lading, and export records.

Review commercial invoices, product specifications, and bills of materials to ensure accurate tariff classification.

Ensure compliance with CBP, BIS, and other trade regulations.

Reconcile import/export data to identify drawback eligibility and support audits.

Collaborate with internal teams, customs brokers, and logistics partners; monitor tariff changes, duty spend trends, and cost-saving opportunities, and assist with reporting and claim tracking.

Required Education and/or Experience

1-2 years of experience with duty drawback

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred (business, supply chain, logistics, international trade, or accounting)

Strong understanding of:

HTS Classification

CBP regulations

Duty drawback rules (19 CFR Part 190)

Import/Export documentation

Strong analytical skills with Excel

High attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Experience & Abilities

Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or progress toward certification.

Experience in manufacturing or import/export-heavy industries.

Familiarity with free trade agreements (USMCA, etc.).

ERP or trade compliance software experience.

2-5 years of experience in customs compliance, tariff classification, or duty drawback.

2-5 years of experience working with customs brokers or ACE systems.
