Cybersecurity Analyst I

with our large power and utilities client in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension. Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00/hr ; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship. Description:

Position focuses on NERC CIP standard requirements; candidates should be comfortable completing compliance work in a networking environment; position requires some admin-type work that compliance requires; NIST/CIS experience would relate, team is not expecting an expert in NERC CIP but someone who at least has an understanding of the standards. Coordinates, plans, and implements an organization\'s computer information security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure. Reviews violations of computer security procedures to eliminate violations. Responsibilities & Duties

Performs day to day NERC CIP compliance work Maintains security framework across the enterprise. Participates in cybersecurity projects and initiatives within Cybersecurity, IT, and other business units. Contributes to team knowledge base. Maintains up-to-date documentation of security infrastructure, changes, and security strategies. Documents work performed. Interacts with business partners and other IT Teams as necessary to understand, apply, and enforce security requirements. Proactively identifies/makes recommendations on potential security issues and solutions. Provides increased availability during inclement weather, cyber, and significant incidents. Adheres to proper Change Management requirements and processes. Responds to incidents in a timely manner. Configures, installs, and maintains security hardware. Deploys code upgrades. Participates in investigation and troubleshooting efforts during service disruption events. Represents IT Security organization professionally in interaction with internal business partners and other IT Support groups. Desired Qualifications

NERC CIP, NIST/CIS Hands on experience working with Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls Hands on experience working with Cisco ASA firewalls Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Entry-level Technician (PCCET) Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) Cisco CCNA Cisco DevNet Associate CompTIA Security+ and/or Network+ Other relevant industry certifications Ability to develop firewall policy while balancing customer requirements and security controls. Ability to analyze firewall security and traffic logs. Network administration/support experience General networking understanding and/or experience to include Understanding of TCP/IP communications & knowledge of how common protocols and applications work at the network level including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, and SMB. Experience with network monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting. Experience analyzing network traffic. Working knowledge of NAT principles and troubleshooting. Experience supporting a large enterprise network. Experience in Data Center environment. Demonstrated commitment to personal and team success.
