Middle Georgia State University (MGA), a multi-campus, baccalaureate and graduate degree granting public institution, is the most affordable public state university in Georgia. Job Summary
The Strategic Partnership Relations and Recruitment Coordinator plays a dual role in fostering strategic partnerships between Middle Georgia State University and the corporate sector while also driving student recruitment efforts. This individual will cultivate relationships with businesses and industry leaders to support educational programs, workforce development, and sponsorship opportunities. They will actively engage in prospective student recruitment, and promotion of the institution's programs. The coordinator will manage the department's social media presence, creating and curating engaging content to highlight partnerships, student success, and promote department initiatives. The role requires strong communication, networking, and strategic thinking skills to align corporate partnerships with institutional goals and attract a broad pool of prospective students.
Responsibilities
Student Recruitment (60%): Lead efforts in recruiting students for various programs, including continuing education, professional development, and degree programs; develop recruitment strategies to attract traditional, non-traditional, and adult learners; attend recruitment events, corporate conferences, and community events to promote the institution and its programs; collaborate with the marketing and admissions teams to create recruitment materials, presentations, and online content that effectively communicate program benefits; provide personalized follow-up and support to prospective partners and students. Collaboration and Outreach (10%): Partner with internal teams to identify new corporate opportunities; work closely with academic departments, continuing education units, and alumni relations to ensure a cohesive approach to corporate relations and student recruitment; develop and maintain partnerships with corporations, organizations, and industry leaders to create mutually beneficial collaborations. Reporting and Analysis (10%): Maintain records of events and contacts; track and report on partnership activities, recruitment efforts, and their impact on institutional goals; analyze recruitment data and event engagement trends to adjust strategies and improve outcomes; provide regular updates to Assistant Director of Strategic Partnerships on progress and strategic initiatives. Social Media and Marketing Management (10%): Develop, design, and curate engaging content (posts, graphics, videos, etc.) tailored to the department’s social media platform (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram); manage the department’s social media calendar by scheduling posts and ensuring timely updates, including promoting events, announcements, and other relevant activities; highlight corporate partnerships and student success stories by featuring partner collaborations, student testimonials, and alumni achievements in social media campaigns to showcase real-world impact and strengthen community engagement; work closely with internal departments (e.g., marketing, communications, and schools) to ensure cohesive messaging that adheres to the University’s branding guidelines and promotes cross-functional initiatives. Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university Required Experience Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with having had a similar position for one to three years Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
